Jersey Auction

The annual Booster Club jersey will take place February 22nd 25th during the home stand with the Utah Grizzlies. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Format changes have been made have been made to get additional participation from Steelheads fans at the arena. The auction will be a three-game silent auction, bids will start
at $200, and will increase in $50 increments. In addition an individual can purchase a jersey for a flat fee of $1,500.

Jersey Auction

(continued)

In addition to the auction we will be conducting a jersey raffle signed by last year’s team. Tick prices will be 1 for $5, 5 for $10, and 15 for $20. Raffle tickets can be purchased in the alcove or at the booster table during the games
between February 22nd-25th.

Another change many boosters will see is the manner in which payment can be made. As many of you are aware, previously we only accepted payment by check or cash. The Booster Club is catching up to the technological age and
now will be accepting debit and/or credits for payment.

We all are hoping these new changes will enable us to capitalize on the entire arena over a three game series to increase our sales. This will assist us in providing our charities with additional financial assistance.

We are still in need of Booster support in the alcove and handing out flyers at the door. If interested e-mail Craig at csleonard@yahoo.com or phone 724-0653.

Annual Award Banquet

It is hard to believe that our annual awards banquet is approaching so quickly. This years banquet will take place at the Hampton Inn Boise Spectrum at 7499 W Overland Rd, in Boise. This is the same location we had our Christmas party at.

Once the jersey auction is complete keep your eyes out for e-mails about this annual event. As expected it will be emceed by Will Hoenike and Rocci Johnson and as always should be entertaining.

To ensure families are seated together we will be requesting RSVPs so that families do not have to be seated at different tables. If you fail or forget to RSVP you are still welcomed to the event. However, those who do not RSVP can not be guaranteed seating with their family and may have to be separated.

Don’t forget to stop by the table and cast your vote for the player awards. Keep your eyes open for e-mails coming soon on who to RSVP and for the food sign-up list.

Congratulations to Barry Smith on his recent promotion at work. We all look forward to seeing him around the arena and at the table.

“How often do you stop to admire the view?”

An old college buddy once asked me this question several years ago and, every now and then, I think of it. It rings so true – everyone is in such a hurry, but they don’t often know what lies ahead or where they’re going. Once they get there, they look back and realize all the things they missed.

Kleenex (Box)

Items must be collected by August. This allows us to know what items we must purchase in time for team arrival in October. A card with your name will be included in an apartment for those who participate. These items are to be
donated, you will not be reimbursed. Thank you.

DVDs and Games

The lending closet is in need of DVDs and games. When the players arrive, many look for things to do to fill extra time. Since they are new to the area and with each other DVDs and games help to fill their time. Last year games were scooped up by many players when they stopped by the closet. Please ensure all pieces are in the games you
donate. DVDs and games can be dropped off at any meeting.

Sandi, our lending closet supervisor, has developed an idea that she as well as the board hopes will prove
successful. By saving money on expendable items, she hopes to use budgeted money to update and expand
items in the lending closet. It would help if as many boosters as possible could participate. Some Boosters
have asked if they can donate money instead of purchasing the items. If you wish to use this option just
make a donation at the Booster table or send to the Booster Club PO Box listed below. Just ensure your
contribution is marked for the lending closet. Boosters who make cash contributions of $50 or more will be
recognized by having their names placed in an apartment.
